Marsdens Feeds - Supporting the Game Industry

At Marsdens Feeds we have financially supported many organisations within the Game Industry for many years. It is our aim to continue with this support and by doing so; we will continue to demonstrate our commitment to the industry. We have targeted such projects as the BASC Gamekeepers Welfare Trust and the Game Conservancy Trust's disease research project. All of the organisations have specific roles to play in ensuring that our future is in good hands. Marsdens, together with all of the organisations, would wish to maintain the pursuit of country sports within all suitable environments.

The British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC)

BASC

The British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC) is the largest country sports organisation in the UK. BASC's mission is to promote and protect sporting shooting and the well being of the countryside in the UK and overseas.

Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust

 Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust

'Conservation through Wise use'. The importance of their meaningful research enables the shooting fraternity to maintain the health of both the bird and its environment. The ongoing research has - and will continue to, make valid political statements on the behalf of the game industry.

The Countryside Alliance

The Countryside Alliance

A large part of the Alliance’s message is; 'The Campaign for Shooting'. This is to raise awareness within everyone involved in the shooting community. The facts are gathered to counter the misinformation and misunderstanding and to redress the balance of public opinion.

The National Gamekeepers' Organisation

The National Gamekeepers' Organisation

Marsdens has supported many national and local events to further the aims of the NGO. Events such as the Golden Pheasant Clay Shoot and many speaker meetings. It is our aim to promote gamekeepers and professional custodians of the countryside.

The Game Farmers' Association

The Game Farmers' Association

In recent years, Marsdens has been working very closely with the Game Farmer's Association. The G.F.A has developed a recognized code of practice which is based on self regulation. It is essentially a code that means ‘best practice game rearing’, ensuring that farmed game birds are bred from quality recognized stock, reared well and are properly transported.
