ForFarmers are again proud to sponsor the Scottish Egg Quality Awards in partnership with Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC). This year the event will be held on the 9th of June at Murrayshall House Hotel in Perth.
Last year saw a record number of entrants and proved to be a brilliant opportunity for Scottish egg producers to promote their high quality products.
2015 winners included Messrs. D. Blyth & Son, Leven, Fife who were the overall winners in the Producer/Retailer category.
Neil Munro of BQ Farming Partnership, Buccleuch, won the silver quaich (cup) for the Best Producer award, and Giles Henry of D.G. Henry & Co., Oakwood Mill Farm, Selkirk, was the overall winner in the Organic category.
All the competitors success reflected the fact that their eggs were the best that could be produced, not just for the competition but for everyday customers. “This competition shows that there are egg farmers, large and small, all over Scotland, who care about the quality of the eggs they sell and are consistently striving to make them even better,” commented Brian and Linda Blyth last year.
The closing date for entries is the 1st of April. We look forward to receiving your entries.
