Beef producers in the South West are urged to attend a technical meeting on efficient beef cattle rearing being held later this month. The meeting is hosted by ForFarmers and will consist of a farm walk, followed by technical presentations - providing advice and information to aid younger, faster and more efficient rearing of beef cattle.

The event starts at 9.30am and takes place on Tuesday 28th February 2017 at Stuart Partners Ltd, Hill Barton Business Park, in Exeter.

Marine Gauthier, Ruminant Technical Development Manager with Lallemand Animal Nutrition will be speaking at the event, providing practical information on the visible signs that beef producers can look for to assess the rumen efficiency of their beef cattle.

Supporting input will be provided by John Dracup, Livestock Procurement Director from 2 Sisters Food Group, as well as Tim Bellamy – Exeter Mill’s Project coordinator.

The meeting is free to attend, but to secure a place, farmers must register their interest with Katherine Bigwood by Tuesday 21st February. Contact Katherine Bigwood by calling 07787 105202 or email
