Broiler expert, Mark Brightmore, moves into new role at ForFarmers

After five years as a Key Account Manager for ForFarmers’ Broiler range, Mark Brightmore is moving into a brand-new role as ForFarmers’ Business Support Specialist, offering expert on-farm support to broiler producers.

This new role has evolved from a recognised need to provide hands-on, on farm support, not only to help broiler customers improve performance but also, to provide a vital link between the customer, account management and the technical development teams at ForFarmers. Within this exciting new role, Mark will be providing additional support and expert guidance to ensure broiler producers are maximising on the support services offered by ForFarmers and in turn, generating healthier returns from the market leading Apollo broiler feeding range.

Mark has worked in a customer facing role for ForFarmers since 2015 and has worked across poultry of all types. He is a font of knowledge when it comes to supporting and advising his customers on how to provide the right environment, and management to optimise bird health and performance, and of course, nutrition.

Mark has gained vast experience and in-depth knowledge in the broiler sector to prepare for this role. Having worked closely with the technical team at ForFarmers, Mark was central to the development and launch of the new and enormously successful Apollo range. This range complements the nutritional needs of the modern broiler and has shifted performance to deliver numerous 400+ EPEF results; with one of Mark’s customers achieving nine consecutive crops over 400.

As a Business Support Specialist, Mark will be an integral link providing invaluable feedback throughout the ForFarmers’ account management, nutrition and technical teams to continually improve the diets and health of broilers as the genetics of the broiler birds moves on.

With the new role comes rolling out innovative new technology, Mark’s customers are trialling a new performance app that ForFarmers is developing. The aim of the app is to provide daily feedback and real-time tracking whilst monitoring performance against breed standards. The app will also report any issues as they arise which will enable Mark to pinpoint any support requirements.

ForFarmers is both proactive and reactive when it comes to innovation and supporting poultry farmers across the industry. The ForFarmers nutritional innovation centre is consistently developing products and tools that support the market’s changing demands. By working closely with their customers, Mark and the wider ForFarmers teams are on hand to support with every requirement to ensure customers achieve greater performance from their broiler business.
