Geoff Eyre Wins Marsdens Special Award for Moorland Restoration

Geoff Eyre, of WM Eyre & Sons, has won the Marsdens Special Award for his outstanding contributions to gamekeeping and shooting. Nicknamed a "gardener on a landscape scale," Geoff has spent over 30 years pioneering moorland restoration techniques in the Peak District. His expertise and passion have made him a valuable resource for other organisations.

As one of his nominators shared: “Geoff’s legacy on moorland will stand the test of time – especially in the Peak District. Although I have nominated Geoff for the Marsdens Special Award, his work fits into many other categories, which is why, in my opinion; he is a true candidate for the top award.”
